Dear Melissa,
I'm Chris, a recent graduate who joined The Epoch Times while studying the politics of socialist countries in college.
As a student, I often felt like an intellectual punching bag, discouraged from standing up for our country and its values. However, supportive Americans like you have given me the courage to make truthful, independent journalism my mission.
Young people like myself are being sold on the merits of socialism and told that patriotism is problematic. We are not given enough information to form our own opinions or exposed to diverse viewpoints.
Because I experienced this firsthand, I understand the importance of a reliable source of information. That's why I'm grateful for your support and eager to personally welcome you back to The Epoch Times.
If I just accepted the readings I was assigned, the books I had to purchase, and the articles I had to annotate, I would not be writing you this letter. I was blessed to find a resource which stood out to me not only as truthful but rational. Supporting independent journalism is supporting the next generation. I'd like to share some free articles with you that really resonated with me. I hope you find them as insightful as I do.
Best wishes,
Chris Bob, Content Engagement Manager
P.S. I learned that the horror of censorship was not that I was robbed of an opportunity to speak my piece, I was robbed of an opportunity to hear the truth. Thank you for restoring that opportunity to me.
