Dear Neighbor, Happy early Labor Day! Throughout my time in Congress, I've made it a top priority of mine to hear from and engage directly with constituents, which is why we've held countless town halls across northern and western Colorado. Yesterday, I was deeply grateful to host a town hall in Fort Collins, where we engaged in meaningful discussions about the issues that matter most to folks in our community. I also had the opportunity to provide updates on my work in Washington, D.C. Thank you to all the folks who attended! Also this week, I spoke about the Front Range Passenger Rail project at the annual Commuting Solutions Sustainable Transportation Summit in Longmont! Last year, I was proud to announce that the Federal Railroad Administration will include the Front Range Passenger Rail Project in the Corridor ID program, and I'll keep working with Governor Polis and our local leaders and community members to make this project a reality. I also joined local leaders and community members for a briefing on the National Science Foundation's Colorado-Wyoming Climate Resilience Engine. Thanks to the CHIPS and Science Act, we're developing ground-breaking climate technology in Larimer County and across the Rocky Mountain West. With the fall legislative session fast approaching, there is a lot of work still to be done. Whether it's advancing legislation that benefits our communities or ensuring we do everything possible to avoid another government shutdown showdown, I will continue to work to make life better for Coloradans.
