The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Nov. 1 granted Republicans' request to clarify that undated mail-in ballots can't be counted in the 2024 general election.

| DDT Still Lingers in Southern California Sea DDT—a harmful chemical compound banned in the 1970s, is still causing lingering effects today.
A recent study by the University of California detected the chemical in 93 percent of more than 1,000 fish samples collected between 1998 and 2021 from the Southern California coast. The DDT came from the now defunct Montrose Chemical Corporation based in Torrance, California. The company was closed in 1982.
The study revealed one surprising finding however. "The spatial footprint of where the DDT is in the sediments off California is remarkably well conserved relative to where it was dumped in the ocean long, long ago," said one of the researchers.
