Happy Independence Day!
We wish everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July celebration! Let us raise our hearts to heaven in gratitude to God for the freedoms we enjoy. | Father in heaven,
On Independence Day, we pray in thanksgiving for our freedom, and we ask that you bless those who bravely toil to protect our country's freedom. May we never take our freedom for granted, and may we always remember in prayer the oppressed and victimized, especially those being persecuted for the Christian faith. Help us to hold fast in defense of all life and of our Catholic values. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. | Today, let's pray for peace, remembering those who came before us and gave their lives for our country so that we may live in freedom. We also pray for the gift of life, that it may be preserved from birth to natural death in our country and throughout the world.
