Dear Neighbor, I hope the fall season has been treating you well. It has been wonderful to be back in Colorado—spending time with folks across the 2nd District and catching up with constituents! Earlier this week, we hosted office hours where I had the opportunity to meet directly with constituents. These conversations provide me and our team with helpful insights into the most pressing kitchen table issues, and often serve as the start of conversations on navigating a Federal agency, introducing legislation and more! Continue reading for information on our mobile office hour program, which focuses on bringing casework services to neighborhoods near you—and thanks again to everyone who was able to stop by. Also recently, I convened a meeting with mayors from towns throughout CD-2, from the Front Range up to the Western Slope. I spoke about our work in Washington and heard more from them about the unique challenges our communities are facing, from Steamboat Springs to Boulder, Longmont to Frisco, Estes Park to Idaho Springs, and everywhere in between! From addressing housing affordability to improving infrastructure, they shared insights on how federal resources can better support local initiatives. Together, we are working to meet the needs of everyday families across our state. Wrapping up a jam-packed first half of the week, I helped kick off the Boulder Chamber's Economic Summit which hosted over 300+ business leaders, academics, public servants, community leaders, and entrepreneurs for a critical conversation on the future of Colorado's economic landscape. And I must say between the innovative research taking place to exciting tech development and the quantum tech hub designation we worked to secure, I am incredibly optimistic about the road ahead. Keep reading to hear some exciting updates!

Pictured (Right): Congressman Neguse chats with a constituent during office hours. | As the wildfire crisis continues, we need common-sense solutions to address the growing threat. I'm proud to have introduced three bipartisan bills to support wildfire prevention and management—and to have joined with Senator Hickenlooper in reintroducing the REPLACE Act, which helps eliminate fees for replacing critical documents lost in disasters like the Marshall Fire. In addition, not long ago, we advanced the Disaster Management Costs Modernization Act, through committee, our bill to build long-term recovery capacity and unlock FEMA funds for future disasters, like wildfires. Excited to get this bill across the finish line!
