Are You Worried About Tariffs?

Office of Senator Michael Bennet Hey James, I’ve heard from families and small business owners across Colorado who are worried that President Trump’s recent tariffs will raise costs and make everyday items like groceries more expensive. Yesterday, Trump announced 10% to 54% tariffs on imported items like clothes, food, and medications. Are you worried about tariffs?    These new tariffs are in addition to those already affecting goods we import from partners and allies like Canada and Mexico, such as fruits, vegetables, lumber, and steel. Other countries will likely add their own tariffs on American goods in response. Coloradans have told me they’re worried that a sharp rise in tariffs will create uncertainty for their businesses, and that companies will pass higher costs down to them. This is a major issue for our state and I would appreciate your feedback.
